Location: Cleckheaton
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 per year, depending on experience
Hours: Monday–Friday, 07:00–15:30

Leaf Recruitment is currently recruiting for an experienced and proactive Technical Manager to join our client’s team in Cleckheaton.

This is a key role responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and compliance across the business. The successful candidate will be organised, hands-on and confident in managing technical requirements, audits, documentation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Maintain compliance with relevant food safety standards and legal requirements
Manage HACCP, customer portals, audits and technical documentation
Manage product testing, sampling and monitoring schedules
Maintain training records and training matrices
Train and support staff with procedures and improvements
Conduct supplier audits and risk assessments
Manage product withdrawals, recalls and recall simulations
Handle customer and consumer complaints
Visit stores to monitor product quality and support product and packaging development
Review and implement improvements to procedures in consultation with the Managing Director
Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a Technical, Quality or Compliance Management role, preferably within food manufacturing
Strong knowledge of HACCP and food safety/audit standards
Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
Proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Confident working with colleagues, suppliers, customers and external sites
